"Severe Rain and Strong Winds in South"
No. 8 Time Issued November 24, 2017
During 24-28 November, the strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf of Thailand and the South. Continuous rain will be likely with isolated torrential downpours in Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Phangnga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun. People should beware of possible flash flood.
The strong wind waves are likely 2-3 meters high in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats in the Gulf keep ashore. Residents should beware of inshore waves.
The strong high-pressure covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Outbreaks of cool to cold decreasing by 2-4 ํC and strong winds are forecast over the areas. The westerly winds at high altitude will dominate over the upper North with thundershowers likely in the first few days. People stay safe and keep healthy.
