"Severe Rain and Strong Winds in South "
No. 28 Time Issued November 29, 2017
During 29-30 November, the low-pressure cell will move slowly passing through the lower South and by 1 December to the Andaman Sea. Outbreaks of continuous rain are forecast with torrential downpour much of the South. Residents should beware of possible flash flood and inshore surge. Affected areas are as following:
29 to 30November: Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Phangnga, Phuket, Krabi, Tang and Satun.
1 December: Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Ronong, Phangnga, Phuket, Krabi, Tang and Satun.
The wind in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea will get rough seas. The Gulf has 2-3 meters high while the Andaman has about 2 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats in the Gulf keep ashore.
