1. Heavy rain and Strong Wind-waves in South
During 13-15 January, the strong northeast monsoon prevails across the Gulf of Thailand and the South bringing isolated downpours in Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Krabi, Trang and Satun with rough sea 2-3 meters high in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea. People should beware of the severe conditions. Residents along the Gulf’s shore should watch for inshore surge. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats in the Gulf keep ashore lasting 15 January.
2. Colder Conditions in Upper Thailand
During 13-15 January, the strong high-pressure system covers upper Thailand with colder spells dropping by 1-3 °C and strong winds. The mountaintops will see cold to very cold spells in the North and the Northeast with minimum temperature about 3-9 °C. During 13-14 January, Bangkok and its vicinity sees cool snaps with minimum temperature 18-20 °C. People should keep healthy.
