Weather Warning "Variable Weather in upper Thailand and Heavy Rain and Strong Wind Waves in South" No. 19 Time Issued January 31, 2018 |
During 31 January – 1 February, the strong high-pressure area from China extends to the Northeastern of Thailand and the South China Sea. Outbreaks of thundershowers with 2-4 °C drops in temperature in the Northeast, the East and the Central including Bangkok and vicinity. The westerly wind prevails over the North and cause cool to cold weather remains in the areas. During 2–6 February, another strong high pressure will extend to upper Thailand. Cool to cold weather with temperature will drops 3-5 °C are likely in the upper country. The Northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf and the South will get stronger. ore rain and isolated heavy rain are expected in the South. Forecast for the South, the rough sea is expected 2-3 meters high in the Gulf and the Andaman. Inshore surges are still watched along the Gulf, and small boats keep ashore 1- 6 February. People in the upper Thailand keep healthy and watch for crop’s failure. People in the South should beware heavy rain in the area.
