"Variable Weather in upper Thailand and Heavy Rain and Strong Wind Waves in South"

No. 24 Time Issued February 1, 2018
     The strong high-pressure system and the westerly winds covers upper Thailand. Outbreaks of thundershowers will continue one more day with dropping by 1-3 °C likely in the East and the lower Central including Bangkok and its vicinity. There remains cool to cold spells in the North and the Northeast.

        During 2–6 February, another strong high pressure will extend to upper Thailand while the northeast monsoon over the Gulf will get stronger. Cool to cold spell continue by 3-5 °C drops in the upper country while more rains are forecast in the South.

        During 1-6 February, rough sea is forecast 2-3 meters of both the Gulf and the Andaman. Inshore surges are still watched along the Gulf, and small boats keep ashore.

        People in upper Thailand keep healthy and watch for crop’s failure. People in the South should beware of heavy conditions.
