"Tropical Storm KAJIKI category 2 "
No. 10 Time Issued September 3, 2019
At 10.00 p.m. the category 2 tropical storm KAJIKI” was due 200km east of Hue, Vietnam or latitude 17.5 degrees north, longitude 109.0 degrees east. With its maximum sustained wind of 55 km/hr, the storm was moving east-northeast at a speed of 20 km/hr. Thundershowers will be forecast much of the country with heavy in some areas. People should brace for the severe conditions that may cause flash flood and water runoff. Travelers stay tuned for the weather updated.
Affected areas are as following:
4 September, heavy rain.
North: Phayao, Phrae, Nan, Phitsanulok, Phichit, Uttaradit, Tak, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet and Phetchabun
Northeast: Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Yasothon, Roi Et, Maha Sarakham, Kalasin, Amnat Charoen, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani.
Central: Ratchaburi, Kanchanaburi, Uthai Thani, Nakhon Sawan, Lop Buri, Saraburi.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi and Trat.
South: Ranong, Phang Nga and Phuket.
The monsoon trough lies across the North and the Northeast to the category 2 storm KAJIKI, and the strong southwest monsoon continues across the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. Isolated heavy rains are forecast over the country. The strong wind will rise the wave up to 2-3 meters high in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf and more than 3 meters high in thundershower areas. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats keep ashore.
