Subject: The strong wind and waves over the lower Gulf and the Andaman Sea
No.10 (21/2024)
The rather strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South with isolated heavy rains in the South. The rather strong wind forces the waves to be 2-3 meters high in the lower Gulf from Nakhon Si Thammarat downwards and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the upper Gulf from Surat Thani upwards, the waves about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. The Andaman Sea, the wave 1-2 meters, above 2 meters high offshore, and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. People along the Gulf should beware of inshore surges. All ships in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the lower Gulf keep ashore by 27 January 2024.
