Subject: The strong wind and waves over the lower Gulf and the Andaman Sea
No.5 (16/2024)
The northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf and the South is
strengthening with isolated heavy rains in the South. The rather strong wind forces
the waves are 2-3 meters high in the lower Gulf from
Nakhon Si Thammarat downwards and above 3 meters high in
thundershowers. In the upper Gulf from
Surat Thani upwards and the Andaman Sea, the waves about 2 meters high and
above 2 meters high in thundershowers and offshore. People along the Gulf should
beware of inshore surges. All ships in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea should
proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the lower Gulf
keep ashore by lasting 27 January 2024.
