Subject: Strong Wind-Waves in the lower Gulf

No. 3 (361/2022)

                       From 24 to 26 December, the northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf of Thailand, the South and the Andaman Sea is strengthening. The rather strong wind forces the waves in the lower Gulf up to 2-3 meters high and in thundershowers more than 3 meters high. In the upper Gulf and offshore Andaman Sea, the waves are 1 - 2 meters high. People along the lower Gulf shore should beware of inshore surges. All ships proceed with caution, and small boats in the lower Gulf keep ashore during above period. 

The advisory is in effect on 24 December 2022, at 5.00 p.m.
