Heavy to very heavy Rains in Thailand and
Strong
Wind-Waves in upper Andaman Sea and upper Gulf

The strong monsoon trough lies across the North, the Central and
the Northeast of Thailand while the rather strong southwest
monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea and the Gulf. Isolated heavy to very
heavy rains are likely in the country. People should beware of the severe
conditions that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially, along
waterways and lowlands, and take more caution in
thundershowers.
Affected areas are as followings:
5 September 2023
North: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang
Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Tak, Kamphaeng
Phet, Phichit, Phitsanulok and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Nong Khai, Bueng
Kan, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Mukdahan, Roi
Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket and
Ubon Ratchathani.
Central: Nakhon
Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chainat, Singburi, Ang Thong, Lopburi, Saraburi
and Kanchanaburi.
East: Nakhon
Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi and Trat.
South: Chumphon,
Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Songkhla, Yala, Narathiwat, Ranong, Krabi,
Trang and Satun.

Amnat Charoen, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani.
East: Chanthaburi
and Trat.
The rather
strong winds forces the waves in the upper Andaman Sea up to 2-3 meters high,
more than 3 meters high in thundershowers and about 2 meters high in the upper
Gulf, more than 2 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Andaman Sea and
the lower Gulf, the waves have 1-2 meters high and more than 2 meters high in
thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off
thundershowers, small boats in the upper Andaman Sea keep ashore lasting 5
September 2023.
