Subject: Heavy to Very Heavy Rain in Thailand
and Strong
Wind-Waves in Andaman Sea
No. 1 (115/2024)

During 21-26 June 2024, the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf, the monsoon trough will lies across the North and the Northeast. While the low pressure cell over middle South China Sea will be strengthen. More rains and isolated heavy rains are likely in the country and isolated very heavy rains are possible in the east and the South west-coast regions. People should beware of severe conditions that may cause flash floods and overflows and take more caution in thundershowers.
In addition, the rather strong wind forces the wave up to 2-3 meters high in the Andaman Sea and above 3 meters high in thundershowers while the waves in the Gulf are 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the Andaman Sea should keep ashore. Please stay tuned for the weather update.
