Subject: Heavy to Very Heavy Rain in Thailand
and Strong Wind-Waves in Andaman Sea
No. 1 (150/2023)

During 27 - 30 May 2023, the southwest monsoon which prevails across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf is stronger while the low pressure cell over Vietnam is expected to move pass the country to the gulf of Martaban. More rain with gusty winds are likely over the country and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in the lower North, the Northeast, the Central, the East and the South. People should beware of severe conditions that may cause flash floods and overflows and take more caution in thundershowers.
In addition, the strong wind forces the wave
up to 2 - 3 meters high in upper the Andaman Sea are and above 3 meters high in
thundershowers while the waves in the upper Gulf are 1 - 2 meters high and
above
2 meters high in thundershowers.
All ships should proceed
with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in
the Andaman Sea keep ashore during 27 - 30 May 2023. Please stay tuned for the weather update.
