Subject: Heavy to Very Heavy Rain in Thailand
and Strong
Wind-Waves in Andaman Sea
No. 10

The monsoon trough lies across the upper North and the upper Northeast while the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the upper Andaman Sea and Thailand. The heavy rains are likely in the country while very heavy rains are possible in some places. People should beware of severe conditions that may cause flash floods and overflows and take more caution in thundershowers.
Affected areas are as follows:
On 26 June 2024
North: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Sukhothai, Uttaradit, Kamphaeng Phet, Phichit, Phitsanulok, Phetchabun and Tak
Northeast: Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Roi Et,
Nakhon Ratchasima and Buriram.
Central: Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Lopburi and Saraburi
including Bangkok and its vicinity.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
South: Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon and Ranong.
In addition, the rather strong wind forces the wave up to 2-3 meters high in the upper Andaman Sea and above 3 meters high in thundershowers while the waves in the lower Andaman Sea and the Gulf are 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea should keep ashore. Please stay tuned for the weather update.
