Subject: Heavy to Very Heavy Rain in the South and Strong Wind-Waves in the lower Gulf
No. 6 (303/2023)
The active low-pressure cell over the coast of Malaysia is expected to move to the lower South and Malaysia into the lower Andaman Sea respectively while the rather strong northeast monsoon prevails over the lower Gulf and the lower South with isolated heavy to very heavy rains in the South. People in the south should beware of severe conditions that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands.
Affected areas are as followings:
During 26 November 2023
South: Chumpon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Ranong, Phangnga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.

The rather strong wind forces the waves up to 2–3 meters high in the lower Gulf and above 3 meters high in thundershowers while 1-2 meters high in the upper Gulf and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution, keep off thundershowers and small boats in the lower Gulf should keep ashore. Residents along the coast beware of inshore surges.
