Weather Advisory
Subject: Heavy to very heavy rain in Thailand,
Strong Wind-Waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf
----------------------------
The southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf will strengthen. Meanwhile, the weak monsoon trough will lie across upper Myanmar and upper Laos into the low-pressure cell over upper Vietnam. More rains are likely in the whole country and isolated heavy to very heavy rains are possible in the North, the Northeast, the Central, the East and the South regions. People should beware of heavy to very heavy rains that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially, along water ways and lowland and take more caution in thundershowers.
The rather strong wind forces the wave up to 2-3 meters high in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf and above 3 meters high in thundershowers while the waves in the lower Andaman Sea and the lower Gulf are 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf keep ashore. Please stay tuned for the weather update.
