Subject: Heavy Rain in the South and Strong Wind-Waves in the Gulf
No. 15 (36/2023)
During 27 to 30 January, another strong high pressure from China will extend to covers the upper Thailand and the South China Sea causes strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South. Isolated heavy rains are possible in the South. In the Gulf, the wind forces the waves up to 2-4 meters high and in thundershowers more than 4 meters high.
People should beware of the severe condition. Residents along the South (east coast) should beware of inshore surges. All ship of both Gulf and Andaman proceed with caution. Small boats keep ashore.
Isolated heavy rains areas are as followings:
During 27 - 30 January 2023
South: Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Trang and Satun.
The advisory is in effect on 26 January 2023, at 5.00 a.m.
