Subject: Summer Storm in Thailand
No. 11 (101/2023)
The moderate high-pressure system from China covers the Northeast and the East of Thailand and the South China Sea. As a result, the southerly and the southeasterly winds prevailing over the upper country will strengthen where hot to very hot occur. Outbreak of summer storms accompanying with thunderstorms, gusty winds, hail and lightning strikes are likely in the upper country. People in the upper country should beware of severe conditions by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. Farmers should prevent for crop damage.
Affected areas are as followings:
On 9 April 2023
North: Nan, Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Phichit, Phitsanulok and Phetchabun.
Central: Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Lopburi, Saraburi, Suphanburi, Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo and Chanthaburi.
The advisory is in effect on 9 April 2023, at 5.00 p.m.
