Subject: Summer Storm in upper Thailand
No. 4 (105/2023)
During 15 - 16 April 2023, the moderate high-pressure system from China will extend to the Northeast of Thailand and the South China Sea with the southerly wind and the southeasterly wind will prevail over the upper country where hot to very hot weather occurs. Outbreak of summer storms, gusty winds and hail will be in the upper country. People in the upper country should beware of severe conditions by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. Avoid wearing metal decorations and using cell phone in thunderstorm. Farmers should prevent for crop and livestock damage.
Affected areas are as followings:
On 15 April 2023
Northeast: Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chanthaburi and Trat.
On 16 April 2023
North: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Uttaradit,
Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Phichit, Phitsanulok
and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Loei, Nong Bua
Lamphu, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Maha Sarakham,
Nakhon Ratchasima and Buriram.
Central: Nakhon
Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chainat, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Suphan Buri, Lop Buri,
Saraburi, Sing Buri, Ang Thong, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Samut Songkhram,
Samut Sakhon, Nakhon Pathom, including Bangkok and its vicinity.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
(Upper country consist of the North, the Northeast, the Central and Bangkok metropolis and the East)
