Subject: Summer Storm in Thailand
No. 6 (85/2023)
The moderate high-pressure system covers Laos and the South China Sea. It is expected to the Northeast in the next stage with the southerly wind and the southeasterly wind will prevail over the upper country where hot to very hot occurs. From 27 to 29 March 2023, outbreak of summer storms, gusty winds and hail will begin in the Northeast at the first stage, then the rest regions. People in the upper country should beware of severe conditions by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. Farmers should prevent for crop damage.
Affected areas are as followings:
On 27 March 2023
Northeast: Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon
Phanom, Mukdahan, Roi Et, Yasothon,
Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani.
East: Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
On 28 March 2023
North: Phitsanulok and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani.
Central: Lopburi, Saraburi and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya and including Bangkok and its vicinity.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
On 29 March 2023
North: Phitsanulok and Phetchabun.

The advisory is in effect on 27 March 2023, at 5.00 a.m.
