Subject: Summer Storm in Thailand

(Effect during 7-8 March 2025)

No.7 (50/2025)

The moderate to rather strong high-pressure system covers the Northeast and the South China Sea, leading to southerly and southeasterly winds prevailing over the upper country. Meanwhile, the weather in the upper country is hot to very hot. The outbreak of summer storms is possible, accompanied by gusty winds and lightning strikes in some areas of the North, Northeast, Central region including Bangkok and its vicinity, and East. People in these areas should beware of severe conditions by avoiding outdoor places, large trees, and unsecured billboards. Farmers should take preventive measures to protect crops from damage and animals from danger. 

Affected areas are as followings:

March 7, 2025

North: Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Phichit, Phitsanulok, and Phetchabun

Northeast: Chaiyaphum and Nakhon Ratchasima

Central: Nakhon Sawan, Lop Buri, Saraburi, Sing Buri, Ang Thong, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Suphan Buri, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon, and Samut Songkhram, including Bangkok and its vicinity

East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Trat

South: Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, and Chumphon

Central: Kanchanaburi, Suphan Buri, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon, and Samut Songkhram, including Bangkok and its vicinity

East: Chon Buri and Rayong

South: Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, and Chumphon
