Tropical Storm “Soulik”
No. 10 (202/2024)
At 4.00 p.m. LST (19 September 2024), the tropical storm “Soulik” make landfall
over Quang Tri, Vietnam. It was centered about 250 km east of Nakhon Phanom or at
latitude 16.9 degrees north and longitude 107.1 degrees east. With maximum
sustained winds about 65 km./hr. This storm was moving west at a speed of about
20 km./hr. Isolated
very heavy rains with strong wind are possible in the North, the Northeast, the
Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the South during 19–23
September 2024. People in the areas should beware of heavy to very heavy
rains with strong winds and accumulations that may cause flash flood and
overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands.

Northeast: Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Kalasin,
Mukdahan, Roi Et, Yasothon,
Amnat Charoen, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani.
East: Chanthaburi and Trat.
South: Prachuap
Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla,
Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.
20 September 2024
North: Lampang, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit,
Sukhothai, Phitsanulok, Phichit and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Loei, Nong
Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon,
Nakhon Phanom, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Maha Sarakham,

During 19-22
September 2024, the strong southwest
monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf. Isolated heavy
to very heavy rains are likely in the South. The rather strong wind forces the waves
in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf up to 2-4
meters high and above 4 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower
Gulf, the waves have about 2meters high and above 2 meters high in
thundershowers and offshore. All
ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in
the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf keep ashore.
