Subject: Tropical Storm “PRAPIROON”

No. 4 (144/2024)

At 10.00 a.m. LST (21 July 2024), the tropical depression over the upper South China Sea was develop to the tropical storm “PRAPIROON”. At 4.00 p.m., it was due 150 km southeast of Hainan, China or latitude 17.0 degrees North, longitude 110.6 degrees East with sustained winds about 65 km/hr. It is moving northwest at a speed about 15 km/hr. This storm is forecast to move through Hainan and make landfall over southern China during 21–23 Jul 2024. This storm with no direct effect on Thailand’s weather. The travelers should check the weather conditions before traveling.

                                          This advisory is in effect on 21 July 2024, at 5.00 p.m.
