Subject: Tropical storm “MALIKSI”

No. 3 (110/2024)

At 10.00 p.m. LST (31 May 2024), the tropical storm “MALIKSI” over the upper South China Sea was centered about 60 kilometers southeast of Yangjiang, Guangdong, China, or latitude 20.5 °N, longitude 111.9 °E. Maximum sustained winds of about 65 km/hr. This storm is moving north-northwest with the speed of 20km/hr. It is expected to make landfall over Guangdong, China by tonight (31 May 2024) then will downgrade to the tropical depression and an active low-pressure cell, respectively.
