Subject: Typhoon “KOINU”

At 4.00 a.m. LST (6 October 2023), typhoon “KOINU” over the upper South China Sea or latitude 21.8 degrees North, longitude 118.2 degrees East with sustained winds about 120 km/hr. It is moving west at a speed of about 15 km/hr, expected to move near the coast of southeastern China during 6 – 8 October 2023, then it will downgrade to tropical storm, tropical depression and an active low-pressure cell, respectively. This storm has no direct effect on Thailand’s weather.
This advisory is in effect on 6 October 2023, at 5.00 a.m.
