Subject: Active low pressure cell

At 1.00 a.m. on 26 September 2023, the tropical depression has downgrade to an active low-pressure cell over Danang, Vietnam. It is expect to move pass the monsoon trough that lies across upper Thailand during 26 – 29 September 2023. Scattered heavy rains and isolated very heavy rain are likely in the North, the Northeast, Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the South. People should beware of heavy to very heavy rains that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands. All transports take more caution.

On 26 September 2023
North: Uttaradit, Phitsanulok, Phichit and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon,
Nakhon Phanom, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Maha Sarakham,
Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani
Central: Nakhon Sawan, Lopburi, Saraburi including Bangkok and its vicinity.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
South: Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.
On 27 September 2023
North: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phrae, Sukhothai, Uttaradit, Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Phichit, Phitsanulok and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Loei, Nong Khai, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin and Sisaket.
Central: Nakhon Sawan,
Uthai Thani, Chainat, Singburi, Ang Thong, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Lopburi, Saraburi,
Kanchanaburi, Suphanburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom,
Samut Songkhram and Samut Sakhon including Bangkok and its vicinity.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.

During 26 - 29 September 2023, the wind and wave in the upper Andaman Sea are 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers while the wave in the lower Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf has about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers throughout the period. Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea keep ashore.
