Subject: Variable Weather in upper Thailand
No.2 (48/2023)
During
14 – 17 February 2023, another rather strong high-pressure system from
China will extend to upper Thailand and the South China Sea while hot weather
occurs in the upper country. Meanwhile during 16 – 17
February 2023, the westerly trough will move pass the North and the upper
Northeast. Thunderstorm with gusty winds and hails will be likely in the upper
country in the first period after that temperature will decrease and strong
wind. A decrease in temperature
by 3 - 5 °C is likely in the Northeast while 1 – 3 °C decrease in temperature
is likely in the North,
the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity and the East region. People in
the upper country should beware of the severe condition by keeping
off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. Farmers should prevent
for crop damage.
The advisory is in effect on 12 February 2023, at 5.00 p.m.
