Subject: Variable Weather in the Upper Country
and Heavy to Very Heavy Rains in the South
No. 4 (336/2022)
During 30 Nov–4 Dec 2022, the moderated high pressure from China will extend to cover upper Thailand, then there will be thundershowers and gusty winds with isolated heavy rain in the upper country and follow by 3–5 °C drop in temperature in the Northeast and 2–3 °C drop in temperature for the North, the Central and the East. People in the upper country should keep healthy due to variable weathers.
Affected areas are as followings:
2 December 2022
South: Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Ranong, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat.
3-4 December 2022
South: Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Ranong, Phang nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.
In addition, the low-pressure cell in the lower South China Sea will move to the coast of the lower South and Malaysia during 2–3 Dec 2022. After that, it will move pass the South into the Andaman Sea during 4–5 Dec 2022 cause increasing rains and isolated heavy to very rains in the South. People should beware of severe condition that may causes flash flood and overflows, especially along the foothills near the waterways and lowlands.
During 3–4 Dec 2022, the strengthening wind and waves in the lower Gulf are 2-3 meters, above 3 meters in thundershowers and 1-2 meters high in the upper Gulf and the Andaman Sea, above 2 meters in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and small boat should keep ashore.
