Subject: Variable weather over upper Thailand
And heavy to very heavy rain in the South
No.3 (252/2024)
During 2–6 November 2024, a moderate to rather strong high-pressure system from China will extend over upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Thunderstorms and gusty winds are likely in upper Thailand during the initial days, followed by decreasing temperatures with cool mornings and strong winds. A temperature drops of 2–4 °C is expected in the North and Northeast, with cold weather on mountain tops. Meanwhile, a 1–3 °C drop is anticipated in the Central region, including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East, and the upper South. People in upper Thailand are advised to take care of their health due to the changing weather and to be cautious of fire risks due to dry conditions. Farmers should prepare for possible crop damage.
The monsoon trough will lie across the middle South, bringing heavy to very heavy rain. Residents in the South should be cautious of heavy rainfall and accumulation, which may lead to flash floods and overflows, especially in foothill areas near waterways and lowlands.

On 3-4 November 2024
South: Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si
Thammarat,
Ranong and Phang Nga.
On 5-6 November 2024
South: Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani,
Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala,
Narathiwat, Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket and Krabi.
