The active low-pressure cell over the lower coast of Vietnam is expected to move through the tip of Indochina into the Gulf of Thailand on 22 and 23 November. Meanwhile, the monsoon trough across the middle South results in some heavy to very heavy rains in the lower Northeast, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the South regions. People should beware of severe condition that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along the foothills near the waterways and lowlands.
Affected areas are as followings:
21 November 2022
East: Sa Kaeo, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
South: Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.
22 November 2022
Central: Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Suphanburi, Ayutthaya, Samut Songkhram, Samut Sakhon, Nakhon Pathom, including Bangkok and its vicinity.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
South: Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.
23-24 November 2022
Northeast: Mukdahan, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani.
Central: Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chai Nat, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Suphan Buri, Lop Buri, Saraburi, Sing Buri, Ang Thong, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Samut Songkhram, Samut Sakhon, Nakhon Pathom including Bangkok and its vicinity
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
South: Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.
The stronger winds force the waves in the Gulf 2-3 meters high and in thundershowers more than 3 meters high. The Andaman Sea has waves 1-2 meters high and in thundershowers about 2 meters high. All ships proceed with caution, and small boats in the Gulf keep ashore.
