The stronger southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. From 17-18 July, the tropical depression from the Pacific is likely to gain strength and move through the head of the Philippines to the upper South China Sea.
From 16-21 July, more rains are forecast for the South and the East regions. Outbreaks of heavy rains are also possible for those areas. People should beware of the severe condition that may cause flash flood and water runoff.

The southwest monsoon across the upper Andaman Sea and Thailand becomes stronger. There remains more rain in the upper part of the country, especially in along the western parts windward side of the North, the Central including Bangkok and vicinity and the East regions while the South will have more rain. The stronger winds in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf rise waves up to about 2 meters in the Andaman Sea but more than 2 meters high in thundershower areas. All ships take more caution and keep off thundershowers. Besides, from 16-21 July, more rain will be forecast with isolated thundershowers over the South and the East. More rain will be likely over the whole country with isolated heavy rain in the East and the South.
