General Situation
15 January 2026The high-pressure system covering upper Thailand is weakening with 1-2 °C rise in temperature, morning fog and thick patches in some places. Cool to cold weather is likely in the North and the Northeast regions. Meanwhile, the westerly trough from Myanmar will move through the upper North with isolated light rains. People should keep healthy due changeable weather and beware fire due to dry air. All transports take more cautions with poor visibility. The moderated northeast monsoon prevails over the lower Gulf and the lower South with isolated thundershowers in the lower South. The moderate wind and waves in the lower Gulf are likely 1-2 meters high, about 1 meter high in the upper Gulf and the Andaman Sea and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.

Southern (East Coast)
Morning cool in the upper part. Isolated thundershower mostly in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Songkhla, Pattani and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 19-24 °C. Maximum temperature 30-33 °C. Nakhon Si Thammarat upwards : Easterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 1 meters in thundershowers. Songkhla downwards : Northeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Morning cool in the upper part. Isolated thundershowers mostly in Phang Nga, Krabi and Trang. Minimum temperature 22-24 °C Maximum temperature 32-34 °C. Northeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 1 meter in thundershowers and offshore.
