General Situation
02 August 2026The monsoon trough lies across the upper North and upper Loas while the moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Isolated heavy rains are forecast in Thailand. People should beware of heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. The moderate winds and waves in the upper Andaman Sea are expected to be 1–2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Andaman Sea and the Gulf, the waves are expected to be about 1 meter high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.

Southern (West Coast)
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Ranong, Phangnga and Phuket. Minimum temperature 23-26 °C. Maximum temperature 32-36 °C. Phang Nga upward: Southwesterly winds 15-35 km./hr.
