General Situation
15 June 2026The moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf while the low-pressure cell covers upper Vietnam. Isolated heavy rains are forecast in the North, the upper Northeast, and the East. People in the country should beware of heavy rains and its accumulation that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands. The moderate wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea are expected 1-2 meters high, about 1 meter high in the lower Andaman Sea and the Gulf and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
