22 – 28 June 2026During 22 - 23 Jun 2026, the weak southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf with less rains in the country. The moderate wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea are expected 1 - 2 meters high, about 1 meter high in the lower Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. During 24 - 28 Jun 2026, the southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf will strengthen while the low-pressure cell covers upper Vietnam with more rains and isolated heavy rains in the country. The strengthening wind force the waves in the upper Andaman Sea up to be about 2 meters high, 1 - 2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Caution
During 24 - 28 Jun 2026, people in Thailand should beware of heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands.
All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers throughout the period.
