During 29 Apr – 5 May 2025During 29 Apr – 1 May, the moderate high-pressure system covered the Northeast of Thailand and the South China Sea with the westerly trough from Myanmar will move pass the upper Thailand while the confluence of southeasterly and southwesterly winds still prevail over thease areas where hot weather occurs. Outbreaks of summer storms are possible following with thunderstorms, gusty wind, hail and isolated heavy rains including lightning strike in some areas. During 2 – 5 May, the heat low-pressure cell covers upper Thailand with hot to very hot during the day. Meanwhile, the southwesterly wind prevail over the upper country with less rains and isolated thundershowers. During 29 Apr – 1 May, the westerly wind prevails over the Andaman Sea while the southeasterly wind prevails over the Gulf and the South with isolated thundershowers. The weak wind and wave in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf are likely below 1 meter high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. During 2 – 5 May, the southwesterly and the southeasterly wind will prevail over the Andaman Sea and the South with more rain and isolated heavy rain in the lower South.
Caution
During 29 Apr – 1 May, people in the upper country should beware of the thunderstorms with gusty winds, hails and strikes by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards including should beware of severe condition and accumulated rain that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. Farmers should prevent for crops damage. People in the upper country should keep healthy due to the variable weather.
