23 – 29 December 2025During 23 – 24 Dec, the high-pressure system covering upper Thailand is weakening with an increase in temperature but there still are morning cool to cold and light fog in the upper country. The northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf and the South will weaken with isolated rains in the South. The weakening wind and waves in the lower Gulf are expected 1 - 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In the upper Gulf and the Andaman Sea, the waves are expected about 1 meter high and above 1 meters high in thundershowers. During 25 – 29 Dec, For the South, the northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf and the South will strengthen with more rains and isolated heavy to very heavy rain in the lower South. The moderated wind and waves in the lower Gulf are expected about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In the upper Gulf and the Andaman Sea, the waves are expected 1 - 2 meters high and about 2 meters high in thundershowers. Another high-pressure system will extend to upper Thailand with a decrease in temperature and strong wind in the upper country. Morning cool to cold weather is likely in the Northeast with 2 – 4 °C drop in temperature while cool in the morning is likely in the North, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity and the East regions with 1 – 3 °C drop in temperature.
Caution
People in the upper country should keep healthy due to changeable weather and the weather is cooling down. Transportation should beware of poor visibility. During 25 – 28 Dec, people in the lower South should beware of heavy rain and its accumulations. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
