Then it moved southward to lie across lower northern, upper central and northeastern parts toward a low pressure cell over the central South China Sea on 6 Sep. The mentioned monsoon trough lay across central, lower northeastern and eastern parts toward a low pressure cell over Cambodia on 7-8 Sep. and moved northward to lie across northern, central and northeastern parts during the second half of the week. In addition, the southwest monsoon which prevailed over the Andaman Sea, southern part and the Gulf of Thailand was rather active during the first half of the week. These conditions caused abundant rainfall over upper Thailand almost the week with gusty wind and flooding in several areas while the southern part received plentiful rainfall during the first half of the week.

Gusty wind occurred in Phitsanulok province on 6 Sep. and Phare province on 7 Sep. Landslide occurred in Chiang Rai and Nan provinces on 11 Sep.

Northeastern
Fairly widespread rain with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas almost the week. Flooding continued from the last week in Ubon Ratchathani province. Floods were reported in Si Sa Ket province on 5 Sep., Chaiyaphum province on 8 Sep., Mahasarakham and Khon Kaen provinces on 9 Sep., Loei, Udon Thani, Nong Bua Lam Phu and Buriram provinces on 10 Sep. and Kalasin province on 11 Sep. Landslide occurred in Nong Khai province on 6 Sep.

Central
Fairly widespread rain except for isolated to scattered rain on the first day and last day of the week. Gusty wind occurred in Uthai Thani province on 6 Sep. Flooding was reported in Suphan Buri province on 9 Sep.
