General Situation
06 October 2025The moderate southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf will strengthen. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the Northeast and the East region. People in these areas should beware of heavy rains. The wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea are 1-2 meters, in the lower Andaman Sea and the Gulf are likely about 1 meter high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. In addition, at 01.00 a.m. LST (6 October 2025), typhoon “MATMO” was downgrade to severe tropical storm made landfall over the south of Guangxi, China. After that, it is forecasted to downgrade rapidly. This storm will not move to Thailand.
