General Situation
23 July 2025The strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf while the monsoon trough lies across upper North and upper Laos. At the same time, active low-pressure cell cover the upper North. Isolated heavy rain and strong wind are likely in the country while isolated very heavy rain are possible in the North, the Northeast, the Central and the East regions. People in thease areas should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along the water ways near foothills and lowlands. The strong wind forces the waves in the upper Andaman Sea up to 2-4 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. The wind and wave in the lower Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf are likely 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boat in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf should keep ashore.

Eastern
Scattered thundershowers with strong wind and isolated heavy rain in Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 26-28 °C Maximum temperature 31-34 °C Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr. Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Isolated thundershowers with strong wins mostly in Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan. Minimum temperature 24-25 °C Maximum temperature 31-37 °C Surat Thani upward : Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters, 2-3 meters offshore and above 3 meters in thundershowers. Nakhon Si Thammarat downward : Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters, above 2 meters offshore and above 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Isolated thundershowers with strong wind mostly in Ranong and Phang Nga. Minimum temperature 25-28 °C Maximum temperature 31-35 °C Phangnga northward : Southwesterly winds 20-45 km/hr. Wave height 2-4 meters and above 4 meters in thundershowers Phuket southward : Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr. Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershowers.
