From 15 to 19 January, another high-pressure system from China will cover upper Thailand and the South China Sea with cool to cold and strong winds. The temperature will decrease by 4-6 degrees Celsius in the Northeast while a decrease by 2-4 degrees Celsius is forecast for the North and the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity and the East regions. People should take care of health.
Across the Gulf and the South, the northeast monsoon will strengthen with isolated heavy rains. People should beware of the severe condition that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along the foothill near waterways and lowlands. In the upper Gulf, the stronger wind forces the waves about 2 meters high and in thundershowers more than 2 meters high. In the lower portion, the waves are 2-3 meters high and in thundershowers more than 3 meters high. Residents along the South (east coast) should beware of inshore surges. All ship of both Gulf and Andaman proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore.
The advisory is in effect on 15 January 2023, at 5.00 p.m.
This next issue will be at 16 January 2023, at 5.00 a.m.
