Weather Advisory
Subject: Heavy to very heavy rain in Thailand,
Strong Wind-Waves in Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf
----------------------------
During 16-20 July, the strong monsoon trough will move down to the North, the Northeast and the upper Central of Thailand into the active low-pressure cell over the upper South China Sea. Meanwhile, the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf. More rains are likely in the whole country and isolated heavy to very heavy rains are possible in the North, the Northeast, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the South regions. People should beware of severe conditions that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially, along water ways and lowland and take more caution in thundershowers.
The rather strong wind forces the wave up to 2-3 meters high in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf and above 3 meters high in thundershowers while the waves in the lower Gulf are 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf keep ashore. Please stay tuned for the weather update.
