Subject: Summer Storm in the upper Thailand
No. 7 (42/2024)
The high-pressure system from China covers the east area of the Northeast of Thailand and the South China Sea with the southerly and the southeasterly wind will prevail across the upper country where hot weather. Outbreak of summer storms, gusty winds, hail, and lightning strike are likely in some areas of the lower North, the Northeast, the Central, Bangkok Metropolis and the East. People in the upper country should beware of severe conditions by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. Farmers should prevent crop damage.
Affected areas are as followings:
On 25 February 2024
North: Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Phitsanulok, Phichit and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Loei, Nong Khai, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Bueng Kan, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Ratchasima and Buriram.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Sa
Kaeo, Prachinburi, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi
and Trat.
Central: Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chainat, Singburi, Ang Thong, Lopburi,
Saraburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya,
including Bangkok and its vicinity.
On 26 February 2024
North: Tak, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet, Phitsanulok, Phichit and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Chaiyaphum and Nakhon Ratchasima.
Central: Kanchanaburi,
Ratchaburi, Samut Songkhram, Samut Sakhon, Nakhon Pathom,
Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya including Bangkok and its vicinity.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chachoengsao, Chonburi and Rayong.
The advisory is in effect on 25 February 2024, at 5.00 p.m.
This next issue will be on 26 February 2024, at 5.00 a.m.
