Subject: Summer Storm in the upper Thailand
No. 8 (43/2024)
The high-pressure system from China covers the Northeast of Thailand and the South China Sea with the southerly and the southeasterly wind will prevail across the upper country where hot weather. Outbreak of summer storms, gusty winds, hail, and lightning strike are likely in some areas of the lower North, the Northeast, the Central, Bangkok Metropolis and the East. People in the upper country should beware of severe conditions by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. Farmers should prevent crop damage.
Affected areas are as followings:
On 26 February 2024
North: Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Phitsanulok, Phichit and Phetchabun
Northeast: Loei and Chaiyaphum.
Central: Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Samut Songkhram, Samut Sakhon including Bangkok and its vicinity.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
The advisory is in effect on 26 February 2024, at 5.00 a.m.
