Subject: Summer Storm in Thailand
(Effect during 7-8 March 2025)

The moderate high-pressure system from China covers the Northeast and the South China Sea, leading to southerly and southeasterly winds prevails over the upper country. The outbreak of summer storms is possible, accompanied by gusty winds and lightning strikes in some areas of the North, Northeast, Central region including Bangkok and its vicinity, and East. People in these areas should beware of severe conditions by avoiding outdoor places, large trees, and unsecured billboards. Farmers should take preventive measures to protect crops from damage and animals from danger.
Affected areas are as followings:
March 7, 2025
North: Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit, Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Phichit, Phitsanulok, and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Loei, Nong Bua Lamphu, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Ratchasima, and Buriram.
Central: opburi, Saraburi, Ang Thong, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Suphan Buri, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon, and Samut Songkhram, including Bangkok and its vicinity
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Trat.
South: Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, and Chumphon.
March 8, 2025
Central: Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, and Samut Songkhram.
South: Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, and Surat Thani.
This advisory is in effect on 7 March 2025, at 5.00 p.m.
