Subject: Summer Storm in Thailand

(Effect on 8 March 2025)

The moderate high-pressure system covers the Northeast of Thailand and the South China Sea, leading to southerly and southeasterly winds prevail over the upper country. The outbreak of summer storms is possible, accompanied by gusty winds and lightning strikes in some areas of the North, the Central, and the upper South. People in these areas should beware of severe conditions by avoiding outdoor places, large trees, and unsecured billboards. Farmers should take preventive measures to protect crops from damage and animals from danger. 

Affected areas are as followings:

March 8, 2025

North: Tak, Kamphaeng Phet and Phichit.

Central: Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi

South: Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon and Surat Thani
